Activities
CBCS supervises a broad spectrum of institutions, such as trust service providers, the stock exchange, asset managers, institutional investors, banks and non-banks, insurance companies, pension funds and insurance brokers,
Account Supervision Securities, Stock Exchange & Trust is responsible for the supervision of trust service providers, the stock exchange, fund administrators, investment institutions, securities intermediaries, and asset management companies.
The main responsibility of a Supervision Officer Securities, Stock Exchange & Trust is to protect the investors and other clients of the aforementioned institutions, to further develop the proper functioning of the sector and to maintain the overall reputation of the financial sector of Curaçao & Sint Maarten. Supervision Officers Securities, Stock Exchange & Trust are collecting, analyzing, and assessing information based on the supervision reports and interviews with the supervised entities; follow up on external signals, incidents and complaints reports periodic updates of the risk profile of the institutions taking supervisory measures in as far appropriate and necessary.
Education and working experience
You recognize yourself in the following profile:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in accountancy, business administration, law, finance or related area.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience and knowledge gained within the (International) Financial Sector e.g. at trust service providers, fund administrators, securities intermediaries or asset management companies) and knowledge of financial products, such as securities.
- Good understanding of the applicable statutory laws and other related legal and regulatory requirements.
- Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills and critical attitude.
- Ability to deal with tasks independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills (in Dutch and English).
Terms of employment
- Competitive salary depending on education and experience.
- Participation in the Algemeen Pensioenfonds Curaçao or the Algemeen Pensioenfonds Sint Maarten .
- Secondary employment conditions are according to the CBCS Personnel Handbook
The selection procedure includes a pre-employment medical examination and a background check. An assessment may form part of the selection procedure.
